Government to set up waste management plants in all districts
Taking a serious view of the problems faced in different parts of the state due to slow disposal of solid waste, Kerala Cabinet today decided to set up waste treatment plants in all 14 districts.
The treatment plants would be set up with new technology which minimised the land requirement to a great extent compared to existing ones, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told reporters here.
He said the existing plants at Brahamapurm in Kochi and Neyliyanparambu in Kozhikode would be upgraded with the new technology.
