Chandy assures to solve basic problems of Wayanad people
Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Friday said the state government would take steps to solve the basic problems of the people in Wayanad district, such as those in the health and farming sectors.
A solution to the problems faced by the people of the district in the farming sector and the non-availability of medical treatment facility for the people is under the active consideration of the government, Chandy said.
Despite Kerala being blessed with good rainfall, 44 rivers and several streams, only one-third of the people in the state were getting good quality drinking water
